As the largest and oldest war veterans service organization, we have a long history of supporting service members, veterans, and their families. Learn more about us. Here are the VFW Post 6873 Bingo Hall hours. The day time sessions are our regular business hours. They will only change due to bad weather. The only holidays the Bingo Hall is closed are Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.The only bingo sessions that change are Friday and Saturday nights (and sometimes we add Sunday nights).
Our March 3 2021 7:00 PM meeting will be held via Zoom. Pleasecontact us at vfwpost981@gmail. com if you wish to receive aninvitation to participate. We will be updating our websiteandcalendar of future events as soon as more information isavailable. We are working to safely meet at Wheeling AMVETS forfuture meetings.

We have gone to baseball and hockeygames, movies and ArlingtonRacetrack. Our Christmas party features an open bar, appetizers,gourmet meal, and entertainment, once again at a nominal cost to ourmembers.

We raise money through Poppysales and sales of caps andstickers to the public to be used onlyfor veteran and service member relief.
Asa Post we march in Arlington Heights Memorial Dayand 4th of July and other parades in the suburbs we represent. Weobserve Veterans Day with a 21-gun salute at our AMVETS Wheelingmeeting place .
Ourcolor guard pays tribute to departed members of our Post. Itparticipates in various activities that honor fellowveterans and our country. See our color guard on Veterans Day 2020 as covered by The Wheeling Journal newspaper:
